To understanding, when they were selling the HD-20, you were effectively
paying something like $24.00 for the drive mechanism and the rest for the
case, electronics, ROM, research, profit, etc.  It was cost-effective to
pull out the drive mechanism and simply throw it away to get yourself an
HD-0.
